Internet Security Information Policy

Singlife Philippines (“we”, “us”, or “our”) employ strict security features to ensure reliable and secure online experience. We apply the following:
- Use two-factor authentication for login transaction;
- Use device ID for authentication of your account;
- Verify your mobile number for OTP authentication;
- Use Redhat SSO for Username and Password;
- Send email confirmation to your registered email address for each account registration;
- Apply automatic log out from the app should you be inactive for 10 minutes and must re-enter username and password should you be inactive of 2 weeks; and
- Use the latest standards for encryption in all our systems, platforms, and databases.
Although we have applied all of the above security controls, you acknowledge and confirm that, in general, information sent through the internet is not secured. We cannot guarantee that information transmitted through the internet will always be secured and that transmissions will be free from delay, interruption, interception, virus, or error. You are responsible in applying necessary diligence to ensure complete security and confidentiality of your information. Please avoid clicking or visiting malicious links or websites and feel free to turn on your device’s anti-virus application.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password as well as for all activities that occur from their use. We are entitled to accept your instructions given via your username and password as valid and binding without the need for further inquiry or investigation even if you can prove that the instructions were not sent by him/her or sent without his/her authority.
You agree that we will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from any breach of security arising from your failure to keep confidential your username and password. You shall defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless against all liability, loss, damage or costs and expenses arising or resulting from such unauthorized access or use. Should you notice that there is an unauthorized access or use of your account, please immediately notify us of such occurrence. We shall immediately lock your account and send you instructions on how to reset your username and/or password. You should also avoid accessing the system using public WI-FI because there are risks involved, namely: Data theft, malware attacks, and malicious hotspots, lack of encryption which heightens the risk of sensitive data being stolen.
We make no representation that content on our website, app, and other platforms is appropriate or available for use in jurisdictions other than where we are registered to do business. If you choose to access our content from other jurisdictions, you do so at your own risk. You are always responsible for your compliance with applicable laws. By downloading any content, you are agreeing that you are not in a country where such purchase, access or export is prohibited and that you are not a person or entity to which such purchase, access, or export is prohibited.
All information presented through our website, app and other platforms is furnished “as is” and “as available,” without any express or implied warranties of any kind, including without limitation, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of intellectual property. We do not represent or warrant that our app, website, platforms, or the content in them is error free, that defects will be corrected, andthat they are free of viruses or other harmful code.
In the event our website, app, and other platforms permit you to view or change information and receive other information or services related to your contract or policy through electronic transmission, access to such services requires an electronic identification that consists of Redhat SSO for Username and Password, two-factor authentication, or other security measures (“Access Codes”) that we may require. By obtaining Access Codes, you agree that the use of this electronic identification is the legal equivalent to your written signed instructions to us and that your identity as an authorised user of our on-line services is determined solely by your Access Codes. You acknowledge that you are responsible for the safekeeping of your Access Codes and we are unable and is under no obligation to confirm the identity or authority of any other user using your Access Codes to access our on-line services.
We commit to comply with the requirements stated in the Insurance Commission (“IC”) Circular Nos. 2014-47, 2016-60, its amendments, and any other circular which IC may issue in relation with electronic commerce and the conduct of insurance business through electronic commerce.
